Where to Find Us
We have two shooting centres. The outdoor range is used in Spring and Summer (though outdoor shooting does go on all-year-round) before moving indoors during Autumn and Winter.
The outdoor season generally begins the first sunday in April and we move indoors again following the AGM in October.
Outdoors
The Butts, East Boldon.
Located behind Boldon Cricket Club, on the main Sunderland to Newcastle road (Map reference NZ375612) There is a small car park, adjacent to the field, specifically for archers.
Shooting takes place daily most of the year and facilities are available. Contact us for more details.

The above map is hand-drawn and should be used as a general guide only!

*note* This hall is a shared archery and bowls hall. Any club members using the centre MUST wear flat, smooth-soled, gripless shoes that will not mark the bowls surface whilst putting protective carpets down. Archers are reminded that they should arrive in plenty of time to help with the carpets as many hands, in this case, make lighter work.
The indoor shooting season has a staggered start-date:
- The Beginners' Course commences Wednesday 7th September (see Beginners).
- Midweek sessions for full members commences Wednesdays from 14th September and Fridays (for juniors) from 17th September.
- Weekend sessions for Senior full members commences Sunday 16th October.
Shooting facilities are available to members of the Community Association at the following times:
- Wednesdays from 7 - 10pm for Beginners (Novices may shoot; Members are welcome to assist but may not shoot)
- Fridays from 7 - 10pm for Juniors/Juveniles (seniors may shoot if there are spaces)
- Sundays from 2 - 5:30pm for Seniors (Juniors/Juveniles may shoot if there are spaces)
