The Stan Patterson Memorial Open incorporating the Cleadon Open held in May This event has recently been renamed in memory of the club's greatest son, who died in 2004. He had recieved the OBE from the queen for his services to sport and held positions from club committee member right up to the highest echelons of the GNAS and FITA. As the second major open of the year (in Durham/Northumberland region), the weather is not always terribly friendly; we try to make up for this with as much warmth and friendship as we can provide. Cleadon Archers Junior Open held early in June Cleadon's Junior Open Tournament is steadily increasing in popularity and often sees some excellent archery by the younger generation, suggesting that the sport has a bright future in the region. At this shoot, personal bests and club records tumble all along the shooting line. 
The Jimmy Melvin Memorial Longbow Shoot held early in July Archers competing in the relaxed atmosphere of the Jimmy Melvin shoot are usually in good spirits and have a great time. At the beginning of the afternoon a toast is raised to Jimmy as well as other friends who have passed on to the great archery range in the sky. 
Cleadon Club Championships held in September Cleadon Archers Club Championships are held in September for Recurve and Compound bows. This comes at the end of a hard outdoor season and generally marks the last major outdoor event for the club.
Cleadon Indoor Open held in Mid-December Cleadon Archers Indoor Open tournament has become very popular since being upgraded from our previous "Christmas Cracker" shoot.
Longbow Gallery Cleadon's longbow section is getting bigger every season. The challenge of the 'piece of stick' and the draw of some historic shooting venues all adds to the fun of this form of archery. 
Gallery of 'Other Shoots' There are many tournaments to go to around the region; Cleadon Archers often put in an appearance at many if not most of the shoots around the North... 
Gallery of Other events Shooting for Cleadon isn't all about scoring rounds and competing in tournaments; there's also the taking of plaudits and knowing when to relax, as well as how to throw a good party!
