27-01-10: Following on from the news about the Great Britain Team, Zoe Coggins has also been selected to represent England as part of the Home Nations competition at Senior level. The match will take place as part of the National indoor championships at Lilleshall.
Congratulations again, Zoe, we wish you all the very best!

19-01-10: The Calendar Page has been updated with the major tournaments of the outdoor season. Cleadon club rounds and competitions will be added closer to the end of the indoor season.

19-01-10: Many congratulations to Zoe and Jess who have both been selected to shoot for the Great Britain Archery team; they wil be involved in training sessions as well as tournaments in Germany and Italy. Very well done to both of you!
Kudos also goes to Zoe as, at the Ponteland 'Vegas' shoot, she finished as first lady compound with both a club and county record score.

19-01-10: The next beginners on the waiting list have been emailed their invitations and forms for the next course, starting on Wednesday 3rd March. If any in that first group are unavailable, then the next on the list will be emailed in the next two weeks or so.

11-01-10: The first beginners' course of 2010 is currently ongoing. While there will be no shooting for members until lesson 4 (3rd Feb.), members would be very welcome to come along and help out with carpets, targets and equipment as well as, perhaps, for a few refreshments...
If any members are interested in taking part in coaching, email Mike Rutherford via the club email for details.

11-01-10: There have been a few alterations to the indoor calendar, particular in the run-up to the season's end. The up-to-date fixtures are on the Calendar Page.

02-01-10: Best wishes to everyone, both archers and those yet to try it, for this new year; may 2010 be good to you in every way possible.

20-12-09: In spite of the snow and terrible road conditions, the Christmas Fun Shoot was definitely a lot of fun. There were some folk in fancy dress and some of those rather more fancy than others... you can judge for yourself! Eric was, once again, tha man on the spot with the camera and his photos of the night are now on our Flickr Gallery Service.
Many thanks to all who, in any way, helped make it happen!

08-12-09: This year's Junior National Indoor Championships saw Zoe and Jessica once more amongst the very best; Jessica James, with a score of 563, finished fourth and only two points off a bronze medal. Zoe Coggins, continuing her superb run of form, scored 583 (one point shy of her own national record) to retain the junior title; she was also part of the winning England team in the 'Home Nations' competition, coincident with the GB national tournament.
A new addition to the 'Nationals' this year is a personal award ceremony in which Zoe Coggins received the title of "Junior Lady Compound Archer of the Year". Something of a mouthful but a wonderful award for an exceptional archer to bring back home!.
Jess, Zo, we're proud of you. Very well done!
